The Road Department is responsible for maintaining and repairing approximately 750 miles of roads and streets in the unincorporated areas of Colusa County. Our maintenance crews work hard to ensure that road issues and hazards are addressed as quickly as possible.
However, due to budget limitations, staffing constraints, and unforeseen circumstances, there are times when problems may arise that our crews are not yet aware of or have not been able to address.
We rely on the citizens of Colusa County to help us identify and report these issues. If you notice a road condition or hazard that needs attention, please submit a Road Maintenance Request Form* or contact the Public Works Department at (530) 458-0466.
If you believe the situation is an emergency, please call 911 immediately.

* To submit a request online, you’ll need to enroll in the County’s Request Tracker system. Once enrolled, you’ll receive confirmation of your submission and email notifications when your request is completed.
If you do not have an email account, need assistance, or prefer to report an issue by phone, please call us at (530) 458-0466, and our staff will be happy to assist you.
