My name is Randy Wilson, and I reside in Maxwell, Colusa County, where I serve as Supervisor for the County's 4th District, covering its west side. I've been happily married to my wife, Vicki, an elementary school principal, for 31 years. We have three children: my daughter works in business administration for Glenn County, my son is an IT director for a local school district, and our youngest daughter is a public school teacher.
I spent 31 years in the county's agribusiness sector and currently work in sales for a California- based lubricant company. My hobbies include restoring classic cars and studying history. Agriculture drives Colusa County's economy, with gradual growth in manufacturing and processing. As a 54-year county resident and agribusiness professional, I’ve seen the unique challenges faced by small counties.
Key issues in Colusa County include water usage and the high costs of farming. My district is home to the proposed Sites Reservoir, intended to help alleviate California's water shortages during droughts. If completed, it would be the state’s first new reservoir in 44 years, with significant impacts on both Colusa County and California.
As Supervisor, I am committed to pursuing the common interests of all counties. I believe California’s strength lies not just in its major cities but in the diversity of its 58 counties. I look forward to representing the residents of the 4th District.
