Colusa County is embarking on the preparation of a Community Plan for the Maxwell community.  This plan is intended to address issues resulting from the development of the Sites Reservoir such as temporary workforce housing, short-term and long-term economic strategies, increases in traffic, changes to the community character, and other potential issues to Maxwell and the surrounding community.

The County is very interested in listening to community concerns and gathering community input to ensure that this Community Pan is developed in a way that best meet the needs of Maxwell residents and businesses.

Maxwell Community Plan Administrative Draft

On Tuesday, December 17, 2024, the Board of  Supervisors reviewed the Maxwell Community Plan Administrative Draft.  County staff and the DeNovo Planning Group are currently making final edits prior to releasing the final Draft, anticipated for late January, for public review.  A community meeting in Maxwell will be subsequently held to present the plan and receive public comment prior to the plan being finalized.
