Maxwell Community Plan

Colusa County is embarking on the preparation of a Community Plan for the Maxwell community.  This plan is intended to address issues resulting from the development of the Sites Reservoir, such as temporary workforce housing, short-term and long-term economic strategies, increases in traffic, changes to the community character, and other potential issues to Maxwell and the surrounding community.

The County is very interested in listening to community concerns and gathering community input to ensure that this Community Plan is developed in a way that best meets the needs of Maxwell residents and businesses.

Maxwell Community Plan Final Draft

The Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors will hold public hearings in October 2025 to consider adopting the Maxwell Community Plan. Before the public hearings the County will host, on Thursday, September 18th,  a community engagement meeting to review and discuss the Maxwell Community Plan implementation strategies, to ensure they reflect community needs and aspirations.
