Maxwell Community Plan
Colusa County is embarking on the preparation of a Community Plan for the Maxwell community. This plan is intended to address issues resulting from the development of the Sites Reservoir such as temporary workforce housing, short-term and long-term economic strategies, increases in traffic, changes to the community character, and other potential issues to Maxwell and the surrounding community. The County is very interested in listening to community concerns and gathering community input to ensure that this Community Pan is developed in a way that best meet the needs of Maxwell residents and businesses. Maxwell Community Plan Final DraftOn Tuesday, December 17, 2024, the Board of Supervisors reviewed the Maxwell Community Plan Administrative Draft. County staff and the DeNovo Planning Group have completed the final edits to the Final Draft, and it is now available for public review. A community meeting was held on Thursday, February 13th, 2025, in Maxwell to present the plan and receive public comment before the plan was finalized. The Maxwell Community Plan will be presented to the Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors in June 2025.
