Colusa County Opens Williams Wintertimes Shelter

As winter approaches, cold weather can create extra challenges for families facing housing insecurity. For the 2024/2025 winter season, the Colusa County Department of Health and Human Services will be operating a wintertime shelter in Williams to help provide a safe and secure place for families and individuals. 

Accommodations Include:

  • Warm Shelter: Heated and dry spaces designed to ensure comfort and relief from the winter elements.
  • Family-Friendly Environment: Private rooms and spaces designed to ensure comfort and privacy for families of all sizes.
  • Support Services: Access to housing case managers, community resources, and linkage to services.  

Who can benefit:

  • Families with children in need of temporary housing.
  • Families and individuals experiencing homelessness, or those at risk of losing their housing.
  • Families and individuals seeking warmth and stability during the winter months.
