Colusa County, CA (March 12, 2025) - Colusa County residents are advised that Cal Fire, in collaboration with a contracted aviation service, will be conducting aerial firefighting training exercises at East Park from March 10th through March 22nd, 2025.
These exercises will involve aerial operations, including water drops and other firefighting techniques, to ensure personnel are prepared for the upcoming wildfire season. Residents in the vicinity of East Park may observe low-flying aircraft and increased aerial activity during this period.
Cal Fire and Colusa County officials emphasize that this is a training exercise and not a response to an actual emergency. We appreciate the public’s cooperation and understanding as we conduct this essential training.
