(Colusa, CA) – January 6, 2024 – The Colusa County Free Library is pleased to announce updated branch library hours, effective January 2, 2025. In response to input from our valued patrons, the new schedule reflects Colusa County’s commitment to providing exceptional customer service and meeting the unique needs of each individual community served by the Colusa County Free Library. These changes are part of an ongoing effort to both ensure continuity of service, and enhance the accessibility of our resources to all residents of Colusa County.
The updated hours aim to strike a balance between ensuring sufficient access to library services while respecting the diverse demands of our communities. Each branch will operate with tailored hours to best accommodate the specific needs of its local population. The new schedule is as follows:
- Arbuckle: Mon/Wed 1:00-6:00 p.m. and Tues 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
- Grimes: Tues 1:00-6:00 p.m.
- Maxwell: Tues 12:00-6:00 p.m.; Thurs 9:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m.
- Princeton: Mon 12:00-6:00 p.m.; Wed 9:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m.
- Stonyford: Wed/Thurs 1:00-5:00 p.m.
- Williams: Tues/Wed/Thurs 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., 1:00-6:00 p.m.
We deeply appreciate the patience and understanding of our patrons during this process as we worked to identify the best way to serve the community as a whole. The changes we are implementing are the result of a thoughtful review of library usage patterns, community feedback, and the evolving needs of our diverse communities. The library is dedicated to delivering high-quality service and ensuring our patrons have access to the resources and support they need.
In addition, as part of our ongoing commitment to customer service excellence, we have set specific goals to continue improving library services, including expanding our educational programs, increasing access to digital resources, and offering more flexible hours for working families. We will continue to monitor the effectiveness of these changes and remain adaptable to further adjustments as necessary to serve our communities better.
