Colusa County Announces 2025 Leadership Changes

(COLUSA, CA) January 27, 2025 – The Colusa County Board of Supervisors is pleased to announce the appointments of Supervisors Daurice Kalfsbeek Smith (District 2) as its new Chair and Jose Merced Corona as Vice-Chair (District 1). Supervisor Smith previously served as Vice-Chair and replaced outgoing Supervisor Gary J. Evans. Both Supervisors were officially sworn in at last week's Board of Supervisors meeting and immediately assumed their roles, which will run through the year.

 “I am deeply honored to be chosen as Chair of the Board of Supervisors. I'm excited to work alongside my fellow board members and the community to address the challenges and opportunities facing our county,” said Chair Smith. “I'm committed to open communication, collaborative solutions, and a transparent process that puts the needs of our residents first.”
