NEWS BRIEF: Colusa County Courthouse Elevator Modernization Project Begins April 9th

Colusa, CA – The County of Colusa announces that the elevator at the Colusa County Courthouse will be out of service for approximately six weeks, beginning Wednesday, April 9, 2025. This temporary closure is necessary to modernize the elevator's mechanical and electrical components, ensuring compliance with current safety and fire codes.

The modernization project will impact access to several departments located on the upper floors of the Courthouse, including:

All offices will remain open during this time. To ensure accessibility for all, County staff will provide first-floor services to any patron unable to use the stairs. Patrons can call the phone numbers listed above to arrange to be assisted with their business on the first floor as necessary. 

The County is committed to minimizing disruption to public services during this period and for any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause. We appreciate the public's patience as we work to improve the safety and accessibility of the Courthouse and will provide updates on the project's progress and expected completion date as they become available.
