NEWS BRIEF: Colusa County Transit Offers Free Rides on Election Day

Colusa County Transit is pleased to announce a special “Free Fare Day” for this year’s Statewide Special Election providing complimentary rides to Colusa County’s ballot drop-off  locations on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. This initiative is paid for through an independent “Free Fare Day” fund, and supports community access to voting by ensuring transportation is available from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Election Day at no cost.

The November 4th Special Election is an all-mail ballot election. You may mail your ballot or deliver it to one of the following locations by 8:00 pm on Election Day:

  • The Elections Office at 546 Jay St., Colusa CA.
  • The Satellite location at Education Village 499 Margurite St., Williams CA. 
  • Drive through drop box in the alley behind the Colusa Police Department at 260 6th St., Colusa CA.
  • Dropped off in any drop box or polling location in the State of CA.

Please note that Colusa County Transit drivers cannot handle ballots.

County Transit operates a dial-a-ride system with fixed routes serving Colusa, Williams, Arbuckle, Maxwell, Princeton, Grimes, Sites, and Stonyford.
